LUCKYTHIRTEEN DESIGN is a one-gal graphic design studio located near Dubuque, Iowa. I started Luckythirteen Design because I wanted to work hard to create eye-catching design that makes my clients’ brands stand out, contributes to the vibrancy of our community and for us to have a good time creating it.

Over the past 13 years, I have worked professionally in small creative shops and mid-size ad/marketing agencies across the state, in both design and management roles. I have created work for large corporations, small family-owned businesses and everything in-between. With this experience, I have the insight, project management and professional experience to bring value to your business’ marketing efforts.

I believe in honesty and clarity. I believe in relationships where my clients and I can work together one-on-one so nothing’s lost in translation — we work as a team. I will learn more about your business, your overall project goals and details. I will collaborate with you, consider your initial ideas and offer some of my own too. After our initial discussion, I’m happy to provide a project proposal — including an estimate and timeline.

My name is Jill Paisley, and it’s nice to meet you!

I grew up working on my family’s dairy farm, so I guess you can say I have a hard-working, entrepreneurial spirit in me. Besides the role of full-time small business owner, I’m a wife and mom of two young kiddos who light up my world. My love of the outdoors, simplicity, art and creating has always been a part of me — and the kid-like excitement I feel when starting a new project keeps me motivated every day.

In 2014, I made the decision to ditch the corporate ladder and took the plunge — I made my side-hustle design business my full-time career. One of the best things about starting my own business has been my clients. I’ve been blessed to have worked with some great people, and seeing their businesses grow over time has been personally rewarding for me. My clients can rely on me to create quality work, meet deadlines, share outside-experience and connect with me easily — a level of trust has been developed along the way. I can be as involved in their design/marketing process as they’d like me to be. And we have a little fun along the way too!
